The Learning Factory has a few different additive trainings! Check out these three levels of training to use the various 3D printers in The Learning Factory makerspaces. All of these trainings must be booked ahead of time through this scheduler.
Additive Basic I — This training allows you to use Prusa 3D Printers (PLA only) in Fab Lab South (419 EDI) for long-duration prints with no continuous monitoring. A TA must be in a shop area when you use the machines.
Additive Basic II — This training provides access to 108 EDI. It covers Multi-material Prusa 3D Printers. To gain access to this equipment, you must complete a training course, demonstrate proficiency to a Learning Factory representative, and complete this pre-training that shows proficiency in Additive Training I as part of the training before you may pass Additive II.
Advanced Additive — This training grants access to 108A EDI. It covers Markforged Metal X, Markforged X7 (Carbon Fiber), and J55 Resin Printer. A TA must be in the shop area when you use the machines.
